Welcome to the Hotel California!

One of my favorite things in the world is visitors - they're right up there next to Tootsie Rolls, grandma nightgowns, Saved by the Bell, and letters in the mail. Right after tax season ended,  my mom came. Her visit was the thing that I kept looking forward to during those crazy weeks. It was so fun to see her and show her my life out here. We spent time at Sara's, went to the office where I work, and then she came to my apt. We went on hikes, ate evil food, spent time with family, and laid out by the pool.  It was fabulous, the only bad part of the visit is I definitely didn't take any pictures. Big Whoops!

A couple weeks a go I had more visitors - cousin Barb and sister Jess. This time I took pictures and stole their pictures. So here's their visit in picture form:
Friday was our beach day - it was perfect.
We love the beach!
Barbara made me a mermaid and Christopher a mer-man.
We rode this bike-cart along the beach. At one point Jess had to get out because she dropped her shoe. We made her chase the cart for a while, it was funny.
Christopher and Brooklyn
Cute Aunt Jessie with Christopher
Cute Aunt Barb with Brooklyn
Cute self with Ruby's Diner toys
After pushing that bike cart we deserved this tasty food.
After a day at the Beach we went back to Sara's and just relaxed. That night Barb, Jess, and I went to a dance. Then, we drove to my apartment. Saturday was full of sleeping in, running a few errands, laying out, and having an awesome GIRL'S NIGHT.
I wish you could see all the food on the table in this picture. Seriously, we had a LOT of food.

Best game ever.
Sunday Barb and Jess came to my ward. It was so fun for me to have them there. Afterwards, we crashed King's Mother's Day Dinner. It was full of fun company and 4 different kinds of meat!  Monday we met up with Barb's friend for breakfast, then we hiked the Hollywood sign (which is just around the corner.)
You can either hike behind the Hollywood sign or get this close in front.
Grauman's Chinese Theater

We had a lot of fun walking along and finding our favorite stars. There were so many pics, but here are a few favorites.
Michael Jackson? King of Pop?

Judy  Garland. I hate Wizard of Oz so much, but Christmas would not have been the same without Esther Smith and John Truitt.

Barb and Jess were striking these cute poses and I just kept doing the awkward squat. This is Gene Kelly. I have had a crush on this man for a while and it is not going anywhere. Don't believe me? Click HERE.

There are few people in the world as awesome as Julie Andrews. Not only does she make an excellent Queen of Genovia, she was one amazing Maria, a thoroughly modern Millie Dillmount, and a practically perfect in every way Mary Poppins. Also, she just seems like a classy old lady. I like those.
Ted Theodore Logan. Cosmo Brown. Classics.
They starting closing off some of the street because they were getting ready for the premiere of a movie. We thought it was pretty cool, even if it was for a lame movie.
After our LA experience we went back to Sara's. We drove out to her new house which is AWESOME! Then we went out for yogurt! Barb and Jess flew home Tuesday. I sure do like their visits. Did I mention they also came to Rexburg to visit me? They did.
During their Rexburg trip we watched a lot of Christmas movies, and just had fun together.
It doesn't matter what I'm doing - it's always better with these two!
